Happy Diwali

 

Happy Diwali !

外では午後から爆発音がして恐かったのですが、

デリーのシヴァーナンダセンターまで出かけて、

 帰ってくると、

ちょうどお隣さんの使用人家族たちが外へ出て来て、
花火を始めたので、

一緒に遊びました。(ディワリの日は決まって火遊び)

  The sound of bomb? scared me all afternoon to go outside,

but managed to go to Sivananda Delhi Center, and quickly came back (still scared of the sounds )

to have found neighbor's servant family had just started to play with fireworks,

so they asked me to join !

そして、これがその爆発音だったのか、と

爆竹ですが・・意外とやってみると楽しかったりする（笑

 Actually they prepared the whole set and of course the bomb sound, firecrackers,

but once you play, it is fun :-)

 今日は新月で、真っ暗な夜ですが、

明かりを灯して、良いことの訪れを祈ります。
みなさんにも光のお導きがありますように！

 Today is newmoon, a darkest night, but

light up houses to pray goodness to come.

素焼きのオイルランプ(Diyaディヤ)に灯すのが伝統的なやり方。

マーケットに出ていたディワリグッズ買ってしまったので、

お部屋飾り付けして、ディヤ灯しています。

Using clay lamp (Diya) is a traditional way.

I happened to purchase a few goods of Diwali in the market, 

so decorated my room and lighten the diyas :).
